Resist invasion, celebrate survival and continue culture at the Yabun Festival on the traditional lands of the Gadigal people at Victoria Park on Sunday 26 January 2020.

Yabun is a free event that features live music, bustling market stalls, panel discussions and community forums on Aboriginal issues, children’s activities, and traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural performances. The music line-up this year includes Dan Sultan, Radical Son, Miiesha and Buddy Knox.

Yabun Festival welcomes everyone to join us in this one of a kind event which honours the survival of the world’s longest living cultures.

Yabun translates as ‘music to a beat’ in the Sydney Aboriginal language. Yabun Festival is an annual event that takes place on 26 January. It’s organised by Gadigal Information Service Aboriginal Corporation and has grown to become the biggest one-day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in Australia. Yabun recognises the survival and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
