Alexandria Park High School

Location: Park Road, Alexandria

A number of private and public schools in Sydney’s inner-city suburbs have provided primary education for Aboriginal people.

In 1982, Cleveland Street and Waterloo High Schools were merged to become a co-educational facility in Alexandria Park on the site of the former Federal Match Factory in Alexandria. This purpose-built school was provided with an Aboriginal Resource Room and an Aboriginal Teacher’s Aid, reflecting the high proportion of students with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage.
