This week, the Art Gallery of NSW is celebrating the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander collection on display.

Join Wiradjuri artist Uncle Roy Kennedy to hear about how his artmaking practice has been informed by his memories of growing up at Police Paddock Mission at Darlington Point, near Griffith, on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River.

Coby Edgar, the Gallery’s assistant curator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, hosts a discussion with three women in the arts and their stories of family, community and cultural strength. Following the talk, grab a drink and listen to the soulful voice and gentle acoustic rhythms of Leah Flanagan.

When: Wednesday 28 March 2018, 5.30-8.30pm
Where: Art Gallery of NSW
