Words on Art and Life with Rob Waters

Multi-disciplinary artist and Australian Poetry Slam Champion Rob Waters is not to be missed.  

Multi-disciplinary artist and Australian poetry slam champion Rob Waters is not to be missed. A Gomeroi man with deep cultural connections to north-west NSW, Rob is a poet, storyteller, playwright, cultural educator and spoken word artist sharing stories for more than 20 years.  A multi-time NSW Poetry Slam finalist, Rob was crowned the Australian Poetry Slam Champion in 2023.

In this intimate session and conversation, he will share insights and inspiration about his work, which has been described as powerful, moving, and at times, unsettling, but always deeply rooted in culture, education and activism.

The evening will be hosted by Danny Gardner, a prolific poet, seasoned presenter and passionate advocate for poetry and storytelling.

Following the talk, participate in an interactive Q&A session to delve deeper into Rob’s creative journey.
