Based on a true story about a man from Mount Druitt, Kill the Messenger was written by award winning Gamilaroi/Torres Strait Islander playwright/law student/performer Nakkiah Lui in 2011. The play is centred on the theme of institutionalised racism, as it relays the Mount Druitt man’s story and Nakkiah’s own personal narrative.
