Home / On Country is  an exhibition of works by Sydney-based photographer Sarah Rhodes featuring Indigenous Elders wearing their language group’s possum skin cloak. The images celebrate the role of the possum skin cloak in strengthening cultural identity, connection to Country and the Elders’ pride in the revitalisation of this traditional cultural symbol. The exhibition consists of photographs, a baby possum skin cloak from Yorta Yorta artist Treahna Hamn and a video portrait of some of the Indigenous Elders.

In conjunction with this exhibition, Hurstville Museum & Gallery offers Tactile Tours to give participants a deeper understanding of the exhibition’s context.
