On Saturday 21 March 2020, City of Sydney Library is hosting a First Nations Wikipedia editathon at Redfern Community Centre Lawn Library to increase and improve content relevant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. It will be led by Kirsten Thorpe, Nathan “Mudyi” Sentance, and experienced Wikipedia editor Kathryn Barwick. With their help, participants will focus on improving articles of importance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities on Wikipedia. No experience is necessary to join the edit-a-thon. Bring your own laptop or tablet and connect to our free wi-fi, or use one of our devices (a limited number of devices will be available for use at the event).
