Powerhouse and Indigenous social enterprise We Are Warriors invite you to Blak Powerhouse 2026 for a night of ceremony and cultural practice on 26 January 2026. The free all-ages event is a showcase of Blak pride, power and positivity through live music and DJs, dance, panel discussions, weaving workshops, interactive art installations, market stalls and short film showcases.
The night begins at 6pm with Gadigal, Dharawal, Yuin and Wiradjuri woman, Aunty Nadeena Dixon opening Blak Powerhouse with a Welcome to Country and a smoking ceremony. We Are Warriors founder and Yuin and Dunghutti man Nooky will continue the ceremony with a dance performance acknowledging Gadigal Country. Live music beings at 6:30pm with the lineup including BARKAA, 3%, Ziggy Ramo, Mi-Kaisha and Birdz & Fred Leone. Between sets will be panel discussions led by First Nations creatives and will explore themes of cultural practice, connection and power, offering moments of reflection alongside celebration.
Blak Powerhouse offers a coming together of First Nations peoples and allies celebrating Blak excellence and survival to reclaim and shift the narrative around January 26.
This is the fourth Blak Powerhouse and the celebration of We Are Warriors’ fifth birthday.
