The City of Sydney’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Panel informs and shapes our work with Aboriginal communities.

The Advisory Panel provides advice on matters of importance to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and plays a central role in developing and guiding the Eora Journey. The panel is made up of a cross-section of representatives from the culture and community sectors, professionals, business people, Elders and young people. It was established to advise our organisation on matters that are important to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The panel is responsible for reviewing the City’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Protocols, in conjunction with members of the community.

Nominations for the 2015–17 advisory panel are now open. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who live, work or study in the City of Sydney local area can nominate themselves or others for the three-year term.

Nomination forms are available on the City’s website and close on 19 December. For more information you can email David Beaumont, Community Engagement Coordinator.
