As a celebration of the International Year of Light, the Indigenous Science Experience event at Redfern Community Centre will incorporate an Aboriginal Astronomy evening.
This is an excellent opportunity for people with all levels of astronomical knowledge to come and listen to a talk ‘Open Your Eyes to Aboriginal Skies’, have discussions about Aboriginal astronomy and the cultural significance of the night sky, and look at the stars through telescopes (weather permitting).
