Living in Their Times

Travelling Bungaree, 2015, video still.

Living in Their Times is a free one-day event commemorating the 1967 Referendum and the legacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander activism that preceded and followed this landmark moment.

Curated by Djon Mundine OAM and presented by UTS ART and Jumbunna Institute, the event activates several sites across UTS with art installations and film screenings. These include a restaging of the immersive video work Bungaree’s Farm, a tribute to and display of works by the late Robert Campbell Jnr, and Stories of Resistance: Aboriginal Film Showcase, a screening program of shorts and documentaries selected by Pauline Clague. Visit the website to see the full schedule of events and talks, and to learn more about the project. Supported by City of Sydney.

When: Saturday 27 May, 1pm – 8pm
Where: University of Technology Sydney
